This is a quick and easy scrumptious recipe, as I often make Basil Chicken, so I thought why not give it a bit of twist and add some lemon and teriyaki sauce and cook as I love orange and teriyaki sauce made with Salmon you remember, you can do that with chicken and Tofu too.

Ingredients and spices that need to be Make ready to make Basil Lime Teriyaki Chicken:
- 365 gms Boneless Chicken (2 breast and thigh) small pieces
- 1 tbsp+ 4 tbsp Teriyaki sauce
- 1 pinch Grounded Black pepper
- 2 tbsp Lime juice (Lemon juice)
- as required Zest of 1 Lime
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp Rice Flour
- 1 Fresh Chilli Chopped
- 4-5 Garlic cloves chopped
- Handful Thai Basil or Holy Basil (not Sweet Basil)
- as per need Enough Veg oil to fry the chicken
- as required Use little of the same oil as needed to cook the sauce
- For Garnishing
- as needed Black and white toasted Sesame seeds
- as needed Thai Basil or Holy Basil
Steps to make Basil Lime Teriyaki Chicken
- Put the Chicken pieces into a bowl, add Teriyaki sauce and black pepper, mix well and let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes. Mix Cornstarch and rice flour and dredge the chicken pieces in it. Heat oil and fry till it's golden brown and well cooked.



- Put it on a kitchen tissue paper to absorb excess oil if any. It took me 20 minutes to fry chicken in batches.
While chicken pieces are frying, mix in Terayaki Sauce, Lime juice and zest, honey, water and cornstarch in a bowl.
- Take little oil from the chicken fried oil and add the chopped garlic and chilli, when it's about to start browning, add the mixed sauce prepared. Then add the fried chicken and cook till the sauce starts thickening, add in the Thai Basil too and mix well and your Chicken is ready. It will take about 5-10 minutes. Put it on a serving plate, garnish with sesame seeds and more Thai Basil, if you want.
